Sometimes I don't know why I let myself go on the internet. (FURUBA edition)
So, this is the weekend where I NEED, ABSOLUTELY MUST get down to studying for finals because stuff slid during the semester and I need to outline and law school is the hardest.
So naturally I decided this weekend was the best possible time to get back into manga fandom.
GOOD JOB, SELF.
Anyway, I recently re-read the last four volumes of Fruits Basket, the manga of my teenage soul, and I was trying to find any good fanfiction for it (spoilers: impossibly task) and then I found out THERE IS A SEQUEL MANGA CURRENTLY BEING PUBLISHED IN JAPAN.

I might have found this news out earlier had I been on tumblr, the land where even obscure fandoms live on in gif reblogs, but instead I googled LIKE A MAD FAN PERSON and found:
1) News releases in English
2) scanlations ETA: MOAR scanlations!
3) FAN SPEKULATION
Apparently Fruits Basket: Another is being released to commemorate collectors editions of the original Fruits Basket manga. With new covers and colored pages, which isn't so much that I need to mourn the fact that Tokyopop no longer publishes manga and IDEK WTF they are anymore, right? RIGHT???
*clutches my emotionally constipated faves*

fruits_basket DW community and posted. Because the Fruits Basket LJ community that Fanlore links to is deeaaaaaaad.
Also, just because I'm an idiot, I watched 20 episodes of Nana to cap off my masterful procrastination techniques.
