I am doomed to never get into new fandoms. At least I miss all the flame wars.

So, I've been having a not-great semester, and remember how I mentioned due South a few weeks ago?

Since then, I've picked the show back up and watched two seasons worth of episodes. Mostly while curled up in bed eating potato chips. I'm now only a few episodes from the end. (Although...I already know the end-end. Thanks, fandom!)

And I re-discovered crack_van, found the dS post, and I mourn the loss of the pictures because the description of RayK are right, but I would like to know which pictures were chosen.

I also mourn the loss of crack_van. Because it's the best intro-to-fandom site ever. I found the One Direction article and I am going to read it so I can understand wtf everyone is still talking about.

PS. The same actor who plays RayK also plays Number 2 in BSG. Maybe I'll just go back to BSG, wrap up all the fandom shows I'm only halfway through.

I feel you so much on hiding from everything and watching a closed canon tv show. I've been wondering what I should do when I'm done marathoning Leverage, and due South is a great idea. ;) And thanks for reminding me about crackvan (RIP), I'm definitely gonna hit them up for recs once I'm done watching.

(btw, fancake is a pretty good DW reccing comm although, alas, unlike crackvan, there wasn't dedicated fandom reccers.)

Hiding from IT ALL.

The due South fandom is just chock-full of amazing fic too, which is always a top-draw for me. It's basically 99% non-canon slash, but weirdly when I get into the fandom before the source material, I'm much less of a canon-shipper than normal.

Also, the fandom is really super respectful of one of the ex-wives of a main character, which is raaaare.

I've been having such a fun time romping around crack_van. Alas, closed forever.
