JAPAN. \o/
We spent the first week in a fishing village in Chiba, so I haven't really seen anything of Tokyo yet, but there is a decent manga selection at our local 7-11! And the produce is SO EXPENSIVE. (All I want is an apple that costs less than a dollar.)
Worst news is that our internet access is horrible. Really, really bad. Currently we have eight people sharing one wired internet connection that sometimes only works on one computer and sometimes doesn't work at all. And I feel weird logging into LJ on someone else's laptop. (I keep fandom life VERY SEPARATE from real life. Only a small handful of friends know my LJ handle. I'm not sharing with a group of totally new people, even if we all are kinda quiet anime/manga maniacs. And at least four girls are HUGE K-POP FANS. Still.) So I finally got online on my own comp, and I'm doing a swing-by post. There is wi-fi in one of the other buildings. But it is COLD OUTSIDE.
I did find another Who fan, but he thinks Miracle Day was the best Torchwood series. *twitch* I'm actually very calm when confronting this in real life. I think I said something like, "I personally didn't like Miracle Day at all," and I didn't stand up and declare Ianto's awesomeness or anything.
...of course, now that my comp in online, everyone is asking to borrow it. Closing all fandom tabs...
