Have I mentioned my crazy excitement for The Great Gatsby yet?
SO EXCITED.
Yes, it's a story about rich white people in a film industry FULL of stories about rich white people, problematic portrayals of everything, yes, yes.
But it's going to be so pretty and everything I've heard about the music choices are brilliant and Baz Luhrmann! The aesthetics he brings to his films blow me away every time and considering someone is giving him the fully realized plot this time, I can't help but hope for the best. (And, um, one of the points of the original story was to indicate the enormous problems with that lifestyle and code of ethics. And Luhrmann will hopefully let some of that through.)
I keep seeing ads, but I really wish the one billboard I saw was just looming T.J. Eckleburg eyes instead of half one eye and half Leo DiCaprio and Sally Sparrow.

I have no idea when I'm going to get a chance to see the movie (probably not this weekend) so no spoilers here, please. That said, rampant speculation and links to pretty pictures already released by the production crew are always welcome.
