I really do like it. (I'm not quite at a more verbose feedback moment, so your official feedback's all of a sentence.) I think there's a subtlety in how you weave in facts that are clearly assumed that we know already and yet show the progression of how they all end up as a team.
I do have a mild complaint that I had to go through multiple posts to read a story that would have fit in one post, but I can live with it given how much of a badass hero-chick you wrote. And the fact that the female relationships here are so vivid is so freaking awesome.
