Doctor! Run!

Just came back from the 50th Anniversary 3-D-in-theaters special, and maybe it was the 3-D or maybe it was the crowd of cheering fans, but I adored it.
Ok, sure there were things I could complain about. David Tennant's hair was WRONG WRONG WRONG. The gaping hole of Christopher Eccelston was keenly felt. I really would have adored MOAR doctors, but Moffat wrote himself a plot that needed Hunt as the old craggy one. (I theorized that Hurt was meant to represent ALL of the older doctors, and it was simply easier to gather them in one character than cram as many as possible on screen. Also, it let him write his whole Gallifrey plot.)
And I liked how they included all of them in their prime as the doctors, instead of slightly too old. (The theater did GASP when Tom Baker walked on screen, and then cheered. in fact, we gasped and cheered a lot. Fans!)
We also had a WONDERFUL opener in which Strax told us not to use our cell phones or else, and he told us to enjoy consuming our tortured corn bits. Then David Tennant and Matt Smith told us to put on our 3-D glasses and check if our neighbors were likely to be aliens out to eat us.
After, we saw the relevant Doctor Who Confidential (or summat?) episode, narrated by Colin Baker. GLORIOUS.
There are a few plot holes to pick apart, and a lot of the references probably flew right by me, they were so fast and quick. My current story complaint is that we never do see the aliens and humans settle their negotiation. I like when characters use their words (even above and beyond using their magic technology) and it would have been nice to wrap it up.
The story of Jack's Vortex Manipulator MUST BE TOLD. In fact, I was itching for a few fics coming out of that theater. Mostly about the gap in time between the regeneration and Eccleston finding Rose.
I would like to officially say that since "The Night of the Doctor" mini-episode, Paul McGann might be my favorite Doctor. Anyone got Expanded Universe recs?
