I've had an LJ since 2004, and an ff.net account earlier and an email address before that.
But SOMEHOW I've never been on a forum before. No, really. I've thought about it, but forums are daunting in a way that LJ never has been and all the etiquette rules are different and they don't thread comments (my biggest pet peeve ever). And the fact that you have to register means that I can't lurk for three months to figure all these things about before I post *coughlikehowIjoinedTorchwoodfandomcough*
But look! A forum to talk about Torchwood and writing and avoid wank and hang out with awesome people and possibly improve my writing! (I know I need to improve. I've read my stuff.) I've spoken with enough of them on LJ that I hopefully won't do something too wrong on my first try...
Thus, the eternal quandary: Do I use "Eldarwannabe," my fandom-specific, slightly unwieldy but more well-known username? Or "Eldabe," my non-fandom-specific, entirely unknown, Japanese-style abbreviated username?
Oh, and I started watching Eureka today. Shows like this make me want to understand math better.
