Is it terrible that I am laughing maniacally? Because Yahoo has a terrible track record on these things. (The article didn't even mention delicious!)

Yahoo is paying in cash. I hope they mean literally and we get mob-style pictures of men handcuffed to ATTACHE CASES OF MONEY.

Also: "Pornography represents a fraction of content on the site, but not a trivial amount for a site with 100 million blogs." HAVE FUN WITH THAT ONE, YAHOO. Hee.

Thank goodness they didn't buy Hulu, 's all I'm saying.

I can't imagine this will go well. We thought SUP's takeover of LJ was bad? This will be worse. And with more ads! (Does anyone use Yahoo for anything now besides mail, chat, and news? Though I will add their sports section is excellent.)

Well, if anyone asks I'm very pro-Dreamwidth above and beyond any other social media platform on the internet. LJ has been on the slow decline, I feel, but it still does have the greater userbase.

I'm just cackling because maybe my flist may get active again after Yahoo!tumblr implodes. :D

I vote Stumblr, personally. Maybe Fumblr. I doubt anyone is going to come out of this any more Humblr. *rimshot*
