Saw Thor II!

…and y'all were right. I felt bad for Loki. Which is the closest I've really come to liking him, so that's something. (It is the first time I've ever been interested in Loki fic, so that's something EVEN MORE.)

The moment Loki cut off Thor's hand THE ENTIRE THEATER GASPED.

Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I had some issues (Jane-faints-a-lot did not thrill me) but I laughed out loud more than a few times, Darcy remained AWESOME, and Sif+Warriors Three need their own spin-off sitcom of camaraderie and adventure. Thor can join them when he's not mopey. I would like to see Thor and Jane date!

I want a gajillion Frigga fan-things.

/reminds self there are comic books.

The trailers were GLORIOUS. I spent most of the time flailing. Catching Fire! X-Men! Winter Soldier! Squee!

THE ENTIRE THEATER GASPED and I know I said "oh my god" and I am pretty sure I heard someone else say something like "oh shit".

For about a minute I was basically thinking "OMG, they are just making Loki evil for the sake of being evil. They are making him totally irredeemable. THIS IS CRAZY!"

I was thinking more in terms of Loki's motivations than the writers' -- like "oh god, he's decided he has nothing to lose and he blames Thor and Odin for not having saved Frigga OH DAMN" and then I was so glad they hadn't actually gone that way.
