So, amand_r posted a new chapter to her Season 4 fic. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. JACK AND GWEN AND JOKING AND FLIRTING AND FUN AND QUIRKINESS. LOIS, FULL STOP. IN CARDIFF. WITH THE PLASS. AND TARDISES AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE.

I don't know if I've recced this officially before, as I'm not much for public recc-age, but I've loved this fic to bits from the very beginning, and I didn't realize how great it would be to have it going while Miracle Day is still airing. I think my favorite part is that she packs so much into every chapter that I have to re-read just to be sure I've got everything. And then, when I read it again, I find more.

That said, while I'm on a roll, I met ilizze while I was at Wales Comic Con in June, and she is fantastic. We had an epic train conversation about Ianto and she was the one who first told me about ianto_bigbang waaaay back when. Anyway, she just posted a huge collection of ficlets for the "random music" meme, and some of them are just wonderful, so I'm promoting! Reading them all together makes a sort of patchwork canon - they jump up and down the emotional scale, but some of them (especially some Jack/Ianto ones) are quite clearly taking place in the same headspace, and I enjoyed reading them. Does anyone remember my Musical Episode Evaluation for how to judge Nu!Torchwood vs. Old!Torchwood. I've developing a more complex theory right now, but I just read this fic and LOLed. Between GDL and Barrowman and Naoko Mori, a musical episode would have been amaaaazing.
